La Rusticana d’Orsa is the life’s work of Marilyn and Frank Dorsa. It is both an estate of rare beauty where vineyards and olive groves extend across terraced rolling hills delineated by rock walls and accented by roses, Italian Cypress, sculpture gardens, lily ponds, and fountains. And it is fundamentally a working ranch where daily labor tirelessly tends the grape vines and olive trees to produce fine wine and extra-virgin olive oil.
La Rusticana d’Orsa is tucked away in the Santa Cruz Mountains, an appellation dedicated to fine wine production since the 1880s and the home to a growing olive oil industry. The estate is a microcosm of Old World charm and agrarian peace seemingly light-years away from the bustling Silicon Valley below.
