Through the orchard planted on a steeply sloping hillside, you can spot the terraced vineyards in the distance.

Orchard spans hill between stone wall and forest.

Four traditional varieties of Italian olive trees populate a total of three acres on two steep hillsides on La Rusticana d’Orsa. Pendolino, Maurino, Frantoio, and Leccino trees are planted in proportions that will yield the harmonious certified extra-virgin oil blend true to their Tuscan heritage. There are currently 250 trees planted and yielding exceptional fruit.

The olive orchards are hand-tended with each individual tree given special care to ensure proper nutrition and good health resulting in olives of only the finest quality. Frank cherishes his time in the olive groves, knowing that his special attention will result in exceptional quality in his olive oil.

Twin branches form the arms which support the abundant harvest. At La Rusticana d’Orsa, the olives are harvested individually by hand and meticulously sorted, keeping only the best fruit and discarding any that do not pass careful inspection.
