La Rusticana d’Orsa and the Chaîne d’Or foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains surround eager artists with inspirational beauty. Each year since 1999,La Rusticana invites serious students to attend instructional courses with artists of local and international renown and with exemplary reputations in their school, media, style, or technique. These courses offer students a chance to hone their skills and practice techniques with artists who have achieved recognition for their excellence.

Each course is taught by an individual artist and takes place on three consecutive days – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each artist-instructor maximizes student interaction and optimizes the learning experience. To achieve this level of success La Rusticana limits the class size so each student has an opportunity to interact directly with the visiting artist and receive the critical assistance desired.

Courses are offered April thru August and their popularity fills them soon after the annual schedule is released in January. Those with interest should inquire early in order to secure their desired courses.
